The scene within my home-town of Swindon is dominated by cover bands and singer/song writers. But if you care enough to scratch the surface and dig deeper, there’s another layer hidden. A Hardcore scene is alive and well, thriving in the youth of this decaying mass of a south-west town.

And one such act that have caught my attention are HEROIT, a three-piece outfit that sound like Ian MacKaye skipped Fugazi to form Comeback Kid.

(Editor’s Note – That is possibly one the best one-liners I’ve read in a while.

MS.)

With each track being just over a minute long – or short – they’re just enough to encompass the feelings and frustrations of one-horse-town-living. Heavy beats and down-tuned guitars, accompanied by growls and screams, it all may appear too much for the faint listener, but look closer, because it’s laced with well thought out breaks and riffage.

Their debut EP, Violence, was released ealier this year, and a split with fellow hardcorions, Older, was released earlier in September.

A link to both will be placed below, along with all you need to check-out Older, who, if you dig this, will be right up your street.

For now though, ‘Violence’:

Embrace the noise via the following direct links and info:
