Eat Defeat formed in 2010, via their love for the Pop-Punk and Skate Punk music they grew up on, a love and appreciation paramount in their own brand of fast melodic Punk-Rock, fresh out of England’s north and the well of musical talent that is great city of Leeds.

The band not only double up as the workforce of Paddy’s Pub – top marks for that reference if you got it *hint* head to their bio on Facebook – but have five solid releases (including a christmas song) under their belts thus far and have recently announced new EP, Time & Tide, due to drop on the 11th June of this year via Umlaut Records.

Their previous releases are a must listen for fans of punchy Skate Punk and Pop-Punk alike and even come with a free appearance from our good friend Ska from time to time.

However, right now, it’s all about new single the – ‘Don’t Look Back’.

In an almost classic Pop-Punk entrance, the vocal melodies are top notch, the tempo is welcome and never really slowed, it’s melodic, fast and full of sing-along potential and most importantly, carries weight in the lyrics in the band’s certified tradition.

‘I think everyone has at least one point in their lives where they can’t help but wonder what could have been. Truth be told, it’s probably at least once a day. Ultimately, you take risks when you make even the smallest decisions. Some of those decisions have a bigger effect than others, and can change the entire way you live your life […]

[…] Self doubt can be crippling, but whatever happens you have to be confident that you can make the most out of any situation.’

Eat Defeat are definitely another band to watch on the UK underground circuit and with this new single, they prove further that aren’t just another upbeat Punk or Pop-Punk act singing about the same old shit or recycling the past.

The band are also embarking on a UK and European Union tour this coming April, dates for which can be found below:
