Dead Town Nothing: An Update.

Dead Town Nothing – Isle Of Wight, England, United Kingdom.

Dead Town Nothing have been quiet for quite some time now. The band were set for a follow up to the mini-album Consequences and its charged Metallic Hardcore in 2016 but sadly, said EP that was to be entitled Leeches never materialised. Why? Well, life. That thing called life sadly did the very thing it does best, “got in the way’.

Since then the band have had almost complete radio silence until around the first week of August 2017, where their social media presence increased. The Isle Of Wight bruisers have been lambasting social media with teasers for their upcoming single to be released as a free download. ‘Wraiths’ is due to be released on the 30th November this year.

The imagery is nothing but dark, demonic and almost satanic, yet doesn’t actually give us any real audible hint.

Another little change to their online presence is some minute information on their Facebook page where their typical self-description of being sat stylistically somewhere between Metal and Hardcore Punk has now been changed to ‘Metal/Mathcore’, which is exciting stuff when their progressive sounding charity single ‘Bully’ is anything to go by.

‘Bully’ very much took their usual repertoire and spun it in a new direction. The Hardcore was still there, as were the cumbersome Metal riffs but the now cited Mathcore was beginning to rear its efficient and ugly head while huge Post-Metal crescendos and soaring guitar tones propelled rage filled vocals. Dead Town Nothing are clearly back and are indeed being very vague but that’s the biz humans. Let’s see what becomes of it shall we?
