We Are Taking A Break, For Now.
For the last two years Musically Fresh has been lucky enough to work with, review and feature countless bands and artists from far and wide both geographically and musically, unearthing a plethora of the newest and freshest music that warrants the utmost attention.
Whether it’s been Punk, Hardcore, Metal, Hip-Hop, Indie or more progressive genres that MF has had the pleasure of covering, what we have plainly seen is such a dedication to an art that is well and truly entrenched all around us, continuing to grow and set smiles on faces of the masses.
Musically Fresh has grown exponentially in the past two years, with over three-thousand Social Media followers and a increasing traffic and interest amassed on our website which has done nothing but set smiles on our own faces.
However, MF has always been something maintained in the spare time of our staff, alongside our day and night jobs, University, travelling and that thing called life. At this point in our short history we have operated across three countries via our staff and have to date featured music originating from nine countries and that’s fantastic.
It’s been hard going at times but we have never given up in our quest to give something back to the music that has more often than not been our soundtrack and lifeline but sadly, for now at least, we are taking a break.
As of today, Musically Fresh is on hiatus until the closing part of 2016 where we will rise to take up the fresh once more. This was not an easy decision to make but due to the aforementioned thing called life, maintaining our output and the level of dedication and time required to run MF, which itself has steadily increased over these two years, is unfortunately no longer possible given current circumstances for the next five to six months.
I’d like to take this moment to thank all of the staff both current and former, as well as our founder Stefan Armitage for all the effort and hard work lovingly put into this project. I would also like to thank all the bands and artists we have featured and those that have taken the time to get in touch with us, in a line of work that is often competitive, it really means the world to us and that is from the heart.
And finally, readers, MFers. Thank YOU so much for all the support thus far, we WILL see you all again.
Until next time.
Matthew Speer, Managing Editor.
