Brain Ape, a band from London and a band that really can’t decide how they wish to sonically display themselves. Now, be it through fast Punk-rooted rage, the more refined edge of modern Stoner Rock juxtaposed by said genre and its more primal form, or through that fuzzy Punk/Alt. Rock middle man known as Grunge, Brain Ape can’t make their mind up yet it ultimately becomes their greatest appeal.
Add increasingly psychedelic guitar-tones and aesthetic as well as time-increased general skill as musicians and you have Brain Ape in a very sluggish yet energy-filled nutshell that also see’s the FLASH PREMIERE of their latest video for ‘Graphomania’ from their 2017 second album, Auslander.

Before we get a little into detail, a disclaimer of sorts is required, after 24hrs (…ish) the video link in this post will be tucked away safely before the band premiere the video-proper a in a weeks time where I may even personally be able to make it all public, but I digress…
As track a ‘Graphomaina’ channels the quieter more melodic side of Brain Ape albeit with short, sharp simplistic but weighted blasts of cathartic energy. ‘Graphomania’ is very much the Grunge and Stoner Rock hybridised style attributed to the band’s roots and initial inception given the gloss and upgrade as per the band’s skill at this point in time.
In short, Brain Ape can write a song, keep up with them.
