Above you will find the debut demo from a Manchester band who are fighting an inner battle, a battle between their love for bittersweet 90’s Pop-Punk and far darker Punk-Rock aggression.
Their First, ‘Lena, You’re A Miracle’, was for the most part a Pop-Punk track but it did playfully tease us with a harder more mature sound, which is why ‘All Or Nothing’ makes so much sense.
So without further ado then, we are gathered here today to witness the premiere of this new single as well as both a tour announcement and the band going public about recording their debut EP this summer! This really is…
Bear Trap almost sound like a completely different band. You are greeted with up-tempo almost Alt. Rock rhythms plied with Punk-Rock speed and melodic Punk guitar lines. This is all before you are driven into a chorus where the band’s Pop-Punk takes its rightful place after a short rest-bite.
The harder verses and softer chorus’ are the sound of a band still tortured between their influences but a band still simultaneously finding some sort of sonic inner-peace.
Bear Trap have recently signed to the growing Manchester label, Horn & Hoof Records and are planning on setting off on a three-date mini-tour alongside London Pop-Punks Cuecliché (Click Here) in August.
