The internet is a wonderful place that is full of as much rubbish as it is beneficial or relevant and useful material and when it comes to music, that is especially true.

We and undoubtedly yourselves have seen a exponential rise in distros, online labels, compilations, charity albums and everything in and outside of that list in recent times. Such an increase is an enormous boost to the underground world of music, lessening the struggle of being involved in such in this day and age.

Well, Grief Porn is the brain child of vocalist Rick Ahmed and a few days ago, Rick asked us to premiere this nine-track compilation showcasing underground Punk-Rock, Hardcore and more that Rick and Eye Tape need you to hear.

If the opening of ‘Hang Dog’ and its filthy distortion and warped Rock n’ Roll Hardcore says anything, its that this compilation is nothing but dirt, riffs and pits.

Intercourse’s own contribution is nothing short of their jagged, sharp and time signature maelstrom spin on Hardcore Punk, while the likes of Ides‘ contribution is not for the feint-hearted.

As much as this is primarily a compilation leaning closer to the harder end of Punk music, the diversifications are broad and wide reaching despite the nine-track bill.

The more Metal inclined will enjoy the Sludge Metal riffs and dirge, while the more progressively minded the Post-Hardcore and Mathcore tendencies and those who have penchant for old-school Rock n’ Roll pudding with their Hardcore dinner will undoubtedly move around uncontrollably.
