Today’s little intro concerns Bear Trap, a who despite being so new to it all have come a very long way within their own career and in within the orchestration of this Some Kind Of Events all-day event set for May.

The band are another stuck in the middle of 90’s melodic Punk-Rock and Pop-Punk and the dated but still prevalent and classic tones of British Punk music. The band’s small back catalogue is not something that should sway you for what they have is worth way more than it’s relative number.

‘The idea for the all-dayer was just to put a gig on with Bear Trap, Red Winter, and Cuecliche on the bill.. but me and Joe got a bit carried away with who we’d want on it so we decided to just go for an all-dayer, tonnes of mates on the line-up and a great venue like 27 Club. Liverpool is always a special place to play, so a free door, with a stellar line up should be the perfect all dayer. And, if someone decides to stop in and fall in love with just one of the bands, then it’s a job well done!’  – Dean – Bear Trap/SKO.

The forthcoming date in may is not only testament to the wealth of the regional on offer and the UK scene in general band’s but also the inner-scene camaraderie and specifically the influence of the 90’s golden age of Punk music.

Bear Trap are to be providing melodic Punk-Rock with enough pop-sensibilities to pair with the Pop-Punks on offer but also those harder, faster bands also due to make a racket. They are a tenacious but calculated band that deserve your eyes and ears and in fact, with Bear Trap it very much is…
