Since we last saw Perth three-piece Lionizer and their raucous, gritty, playful, melodic and from the heart Indie-Punk laced with enough Pop-Punk (un)sensibility – I might add, has taken on a new form, where the band have decided to finally sit down with their off-the-rails friend, the infamous bunk bed.

‘Something About Bunk Beds’ was released as a video in the closing days of August and shows the band on top form once again musically. Crunching rhythms and a prominent bass rumble almost elude a Garage Punk influence, a sound the Lionizer could well pull off, as they can anything it seems.

‘It’s been so long since I wrote anything down, meant anything, so – long since I’ll have something to say, I could dissolve into this mattress or seep into these walls – and you would all forget my name – everyone always, gets it wrong! Gets it wrong – anyway!

‘You are the words I can’t create, you are the chords I cant’ reach…’

Writers block? Distance? Infeasibility? Bunk beds? All I know is, is that I can’t wait for the next release. Oh and one last thing, the band started their September tour very recently, so if you can make any of these dates, we suggest you do!
