Keroscene can be said to be a shoe-gazing, melodic Grunge quartet reminiscent of the sub-indie UK scene of the early 90’s. They a band for fans of early Feeder or for anyone who has ever wondered what The Smashing Pumpkins would sound like if they were fronted by Blur’s Damon Albarn.
Forming in 2011 and remaining in their original line up the band have been playing shows in and around the hometown London ever since as well as honing and strengthening their easy listening but simultaneously dark and biting sound.
The band’s sound is matched perfectly with the visual elements witnessed in their music videos thus far, seeing the band sacrificing vanity project promo tools for the true art of promotion with production values and aesthetic matched on a track by track basis, proving the art of the music video has not fallen as far many of the mainstream.
With an album well on its way for this year, Keroscene’s next move is likely set to impress and mark them further as a natural band making natural sounds the only way they know how. I look forward to the announcement of Keroscene playing Glastonbury and pulling in a crowd and reception well deserved.
