Fresh Picks: Triple Sundae.

Triple Sundae – London, England, United Kingdom.

Any avid-listener of contemporary UK Punk music will have seen two names making the rounds in recent years and of those two names, one is a band and one is a label. Well, the band are soon to releasing their next EP via the label this coming April and if North American-styled melodic Punk with a strong UK-stamp adhesively attached to its sonic identity is something you have a penchant for, you might want to dig in.

Umlaut Records will be releasing the Peace Of Mind EP this coming April and it by a band I can’t not name now so here it goes, Triple Sundae. The band have been steadily playing shows and releasing music since 2014 and as stated above carry a name that has been no secret to both social media and the London Punk and Alternative music scene.

The band recently released their latest single, ‘Indecisive’ and despite the cliche nature of the forthcoming sentence, sound bigger than ever. Triple Sundae still keep the raw contrast between their rough and ready UK Punk-Rock and their penchant for harmonic melody but sound more rounded and professionally cut.

The band’s heartfelt lyrics and non-cliche Pop-Punk sensibilities are out in force on this single that in many ways sits reminiscent of Scottish legends The Murderburgers and that is no small compliment. ‘Indecisive’ battles the very nature of its name sake and makes for an enjoyable Pop-Punk track ahead of an EP now sounding a lot more appealing via repeated plays of this stellar track.
