Copenhagen three-piece Forever Unclean like three things, melody, tempo and Punk-Rock but what they don’t like are silver tongued snakes, which is where the new single ‘Words’ comes in. The single is the forerunner from their forthcoming EP Woof set for this coming June via grounded UK label Disconnect Disconnect Records, as well as other great and notable labels across the globe – Hidden Home Records (USA), Bearded Punk Records (Belgium) and Pee Records (Australia).

In classic Forever Unclean style, ‘Words’ crams an awful lot into compressed 2:35 life span. After a tribute of sorts intro reminiscent of some famous band with numbers in their name, the band’s stripped down, basic but relentless classic Punk rhythms take the playful vocals of Gnarwolves and combine that with a light-hearted Indie flare as they (cheerfully) rage against manipulative beings.

Hate having your words twisted, hate having your actions and words chopped and changed to fit someone who feels they should be dominant in the discussion? So do the loud Danish three-piece and they display it oh so well.

As it happens the best way to deal with such is to write a shouty Punk-song Latterman would have been proud of. Forever Unclean pummel Pop-Punk admiration and Skate Punk energy through intelligent lyrics and all the basic building blocks so successfully keeping the cathartic genre still going strong.

The European Punk-Rock scene is stronger by each year and this is another band making the great contribution to a genre already having a great year.

*’Words’ is currently only available on Spotify*.
