Welcome to Bonneville – The Freshest Electronic Sounds In Town
Bonneville – Isle Of Wight, England, United Kingdom.
Just a quick one from us today (oooerrrr) with an audio trip back to MF’s ancestral home, The Isle Of Wight.
We try to cover all sorts of genres on MF, and although Punk and the Alternative are big players in the “office”, we often get strings of emails in waves that often follow a particular vein, usually completely arbitrarily.
Bonneville was one of the more Electronic-based artists MF has taken a peek at. Innuendos and ultra-mild smut aside, let’s go down on this.
To date, Bonneville has released two EPs of instrumental Electronica that seems to fit a great deal of images and platforms. By that I mean, the envisioning of where you would want to hear this music or where it would feature; be it clubs, games, TV & Film, compilations, late night drives – you get the idea.
Remember when dance music wasn’t just the same old shit? When it was actually interesting? Bonneville remembers. ‘The Conqueror’, for example, is dark and dirty, and the first track of the debut EP, Night Racing. I have a bit of a “thing” for music that I can imagine fitting on a game or film soundtrack – and this track only excites said “thing”.
Bonneville’s music in many ways casts you back to an older style of Electronica in the more dance orientated numbers, while other, more chilled numbers would suit a sunny evening BBQ or a late night drive on a deserted motorway – or even, the country lanes of the Isle Of Wight.
Writing this article meant that I had to listen two both EPs as I wrote but often afterwards, when I’d called it a night and left it, the music stayed on.
If you’re a fan of your instrumentals, and need something to relax to, drive to or endlessly quest or shoot things to – then Bonneville is your man. Groove for your move and chilled for your chill. That may have been a shoddy sentence, but it stands and these sounds warrant your attention.
