Scout Killers – Bath Brewed and Ready To Export *TOUR DATES* & A New Single Announcement.
Scout Killers – Bath/Bristol, England, United Kingdom.
Bath/Bristol-based Alternative Rock five piece, Scout Killers, prepare to hit the road following their latest single ‘Rip Me Apart’, which is set for release on March 28th.
Mixing inspiration from Rage Against The Machine to Pearl Jam, Scout Killers have the perfect formula to create their own brand Alternative Rock, with a slight Indie-edge and hints of Grunge for good measure.
Scout Killers gained a loyal following touring their EP Stand Your Ground, released in 2014. An EP boasting beautifully composed Alt. Rock, with strong but subtle drums, keyboard and lashing guitars rather than just the heavier riff-work.
The release is a must listen if you like your music with the heaviness toned down, with a more harmonious, melodic and atmospheric appeal. That said, the stronger and harder riffs are still there, namely in tracks such as ‘Cease and Resist’ and ‘Honey’, adding a welcome balance to the band’s sound.
Despite strong instrumentals, the vocals are the main feature, with a vocal style reminiscent of Laine Staley of Alice In Chains, and with all the desperation of Corey Taylor of Stone Sour. The emotional lyrics really define this Scout Killers and I can only imagine how great it sounds live.
Speaking of which, if you can’t wait for that, Scout Killers embarked on a little project not too long ago in the form of the Wiltshire Music Centre live sessions, which really did the band’s musicianship credit.
With strong recordings behind them, the band could easily take over the British Rock scene, bringing back the mid naughties-style Metal-tinged Alternative Rock that was oh so prominent.
It’s familiar yet different, as well as thought provoking and effortless, a must listen, and a must see if you’re lucky enough to be in the area when they’re on tour. Catch them at the following dates:
3rd April – London @ The Black Heart
4th April – Guilford @ The Star Inn
5th April – Leeds @ The Key Club
6th April – York @ Fulford Arms
7th April – Newcastle @ Head Of Steam
