The latest band to be delved into just a little are Liverpool natives The Hunx. The band are another of the bands playing it faster, harder and more abrasively to join the Some Kind Of Events all-dayer this now very close coming May.

The band take the melodic 90’s Skate Punk of Bad Religion, NOFX, 88 Fingers Louie and many more seminal names and apply an underground British-Punk grit and humour giving their contemporary and 90’s-cross sound a home grown feel. The band make take the piss to be blunt as with much in the way UK Punk, the seriousness and maturity is indeed in with it all.

The band’s most recent EP balances melody with the classic dated grit of the UK Punk scene not entirely evenly but enough so that it works on whatever level you feel it does. Expect melodic guitar-lines and gang-vocals with north-western accents creeping though and chorus’ propelled on said melodic guitar-lines, prompting fist in the air solidarity. When they aren’t singing about Pizza that is…

But thats the great thing about this bill, it covers the fun, the fast, the poppy and the gruff and I personally can’t wait. Get involved.
