Brassick – ‘Appreciate Your Concern’.

Brassick – Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.

Since their birth in 2012 these Birmingham/West-Midlands punkers have never failed to deliver a broken bottle to the jugular from their music and live performances and the latest shot of razor blades to the face Appreciate Your Concern is no exception.

Reminiscent of the crusty-NY Hardcore Punk scene as populated by the likes of Choking Victim and their offshoots in the early-to-mid 90’s and self-recorded in true DIY fashion, the latest effort from the Brum-quartet is something to be admired for its raw power.

Right from their inception Brassick have allowed a sense of urgency to flow through their craft with a “what you hear is what you get” demeanour. That said however, with new material sprouting all the time it’s obvious the music is opening up to newer more refined and melodic lines growing more attentive of composition and clarity while staying true to the ethos.

This latest EP consists of short-burst Punk-Rock mini-anthems that are more than enough to tide you over but hasty enough to leave you wanting more while they tackle the issues of bigotry, bullshitting politicians and social injustice.

Appreciate Your Concern was released in October this year and is available via all digital outlets and physically from the band themselves and Iron Man Records.
