Well, the time has come, well not the time but the time for the last band introduction ahead of the Some Kind Of Events all-dayer this coming May at The 27 Club in Liverpool.

Now, Garage Rock was such an influential happening in the world of guitar driven music as not only did it quite relevantly spawn a lot of what was to become Punk-Rock but in general left its mark on and laid the foundation for much in the way of gritty, up-tempo guitar noise and this is where Three From Above come in.

It’s always fun to have a band playing dated tones and even more so a Garage Rock band on a predominantly Punk-bill and Three From Above are very much adept at this revival. In truth the band don’t have a huge back catalogue to date but even with the singles ‘Hail Caesar’ and ‘Na Na Na’ the band hit the tuneful yet gritty energy from the underground and match it to names so revered such as The Hives and The Who.

With ‘Hail Caesar’ in particular the band channel clear influence from Nirvana’s Nevermind with tuneful, blues-infected, Stoner Rock appreciating vocals riding along on a subdued Garage-rumble and drumming simplistic but unrestrained, driven and on point.

Three From Above play Rock n’ Roll but with the right amount of maturity and well thoughtout lyrics and to top it off,  just enough melodic tendencies to make well suited to this upcoming bill.

I’ll be there… will you?
